The Idaho society of Radio Amateurs, Inc. (ISRA) was incorporated in February 1971. The original signers of the Articles of Incorporation were:: David Napper W7DQU, Idaho Falls, Idaho Wesley N. Harris K7LCW, Pocatello, Idaho Everett M. Borah W7NGA, Twin Falls, Idaho William J. Edwards W7PKS, Boise, Idaho Dean Bigler KB7HN, Boise, Idaho The purposes of this corporation and the Boise Chapter are: A. To promote interest and stimulate instruction or training in two-way Amateur Communication and experimentation. B. To organize and/or provide two-way communication in the interest of public service to any group needing auxiliary communications. C. To maintain affiliation with THE AMATEUR RADIO RELAY LEAGUE, INC. for the benefits which would accrue to this society. D. To establish and co-ordinate the operation of a state-wide communication system to further compliment the above stated purposes. E. To co-ordinate, assist and encourage local groups of Radio Amateurs in the accomplishment of the above stated purposes. Repeater The ISRA Boise Chapter maintains a repeater on Schaeffer Butte North of Boise Idaho on 146.94 (- 100 Hz). This is an open repeater and has fairly wide area coverage. The ISRA also sponsers a 2 meter net each Sunday evening at 8:30 pm. This is an open net and anyone is welcome to check-in. Meeting Time and Place The ISRA. Inc. meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Fairmont Junior High School located at 2121 N. Cole Road, Boise, Idaho. The ISRA, Inc does not meet during the June through August School summer vacation.. There is a Field Day activity in June and a Summer picnic the 2 nd Saturday in August. To Become A Member We are always looking for new members to our association. Membership dues are $10.00 per year (January 1 thru December 31). There is an additional $2.00 per family member.
